3-Star 2017 LB Jeremiah Gemmel Commits

Jeremiah Gemmel, a 3-star linebacker from East Coweta H.S. in Sharpsburg, GA, committed to play for North Carolina on Saturday night.

Gemmel attended the Freak Show two weeks ago and was one of the prospect THI learned was likely to commit. The 6-1, 205 pounder has also been offered by Louisville, Mississippi State, Oklahoma State and Tennessee, among others.

Gemmel is the 13th member of the class of 2017.

We have three videos of Gemmel from the Freak Show. He stood out to me because of his intensity, lateral quickness and that he comes off as a very physical player. The staff loves this kid, they see intangibles in him that exceed his 5.5 Rivals rating, making him a solid 3-star. He's a smart young man who will fit in very well with this class and the current roster.

Gemmel was offered about a year ago.
