If you follow the Carolina Tar Heels on social media, you might have noticed a string of new videos featuring the Heels’ “TP” (Theo Pinson) and “JB” (Joel Berry II).

This past season’s Tar Heels were one of the more light-hearted bunches, frequently playing jokes on one another and dancing throughout their trek through the dance. The looseness of the group was highlighted this past NCAA tournament with Pinson appearing in multiple press conferences, uninvited, lightening the mood and showing some insight into the relaxed and almost goofy nature of Roy Williams and Company

On May 18, Famouslos, a social media comedic sports analyst, posted an Instagram video with the hashtag #famouslospullup. The video features the analyst and his pals walking around the office and pulling up jump shots on command without hesitation. Like the “running man challenge,” this social media trend has caught fire and the hashtag began trending.

The comedic duo of TP and JB began showing off their shooting skills off the court for all the world to see crediting Famouslos in their first video.

JB pull up. TP pull up.

Walking through hallways, step back and pull up. After playing pick-up, crossover, fadeaway and pull-up.

Berry and Pinson even got teammates Nate Britt and Kennedy Meeks in on the games, as each added their own style to the shot. Britt shows his slow old man hesitation pull up. Meeks fashions a turnaround jumper.

The pull-up isn’t only executed on command. Pull up in the middle seat of the plane. Pull up after playing NBA2K16. It doesn’t matter what the circumstances are, if the opportunity to pull up arises, pull up.

Several nights ago, Kris Jenkins, the heartbreaker of Tar Heels everywhere courtesy of his game- winning 3-pointer in national championship game back in April, decided to remind the Heels of Villanova’s shooting.

Jenkins posted an Instagram video to the Tar Heels’ Britt, Pinson and Berry, featuring the national champs pulling up.

On Jenkins’ command, the Wildcats pause from playing 2K, or in the middle of a walk, and pull up. Jenkins closes the video in the same manner of the National Championship: he pulls up.

It seems the Tar Heels and the Wildcats compete for more than just National Titles, but for style.

Carolina has yet to post a response directed to Jenkins and Villanova. Until a response arrives, the battle of the pull up between the schools remains in full force.

Carolina pull up.
